Co Rd 21 reduced to one lane Traffic on Co Rd 21 has been reduced to one lane and one-way traffic.  You may only travel Co Rd 21 from the south going north. Also, the Transfer Station is closed until August 6 to allow for paving.  The bike trail along Co Rd 21 is opened but travel at your own risk as it is within the construction zone and portions of it has been impacted by the construction.

Co Rd V opened County crews were able to complete the bridge replacement project on Co Rd V this week and the road is now open to traffic.  They made excellent time completing this project.

Co Rd 21 Construction Update

This week construction crews on Co Rd 21 will begin excavating the 10th and 12th St intersections and placing crushed rock. These intersections will be closed to traffic until the rock is placed.  One lane traffic, controlled by flag people, remains on the rest of Co Rd 21.  Other work this week includes repairing soft spots and blading the road in preparation for paving.

Road Work on County Road 21 -

Transfer Station Access Update: Water main work is being done at the intersection of 5th St NW and 8th Ave NW closing the access to the Transfer Station from Kasson. County Road 21 is still accessible from Mantorville for now so please use this route until further notice.

Wheelage Tax Public Hearing -

The Dodge County Board will hold a public hearing to hear public input on the board’s consideration to increase the wheelage tax rate from $10 to $20 per vehicle.  The revenue from this tax would be used solely to support local transportation needs (roads, bridges) in Dodge County and would be effective January 1, 2018.   Any written public input should be mailed to Dodge County Administration at the address below.

CSAH 21 (8th Ave NW) Resurfacing Work on CSAH 21 will begin on Monday, June 19 with the contractor removing the existing road surface between 5th St NW and 12th St. NW in Kasson.  

After the road surface has been removed, the contractor will work to install new sewer and water.  This is expected to take several weeks.

The road will be closed to through traffic during this project.  Please use an alternate route.
