MNPrairie Announces New Executive Director

Minnesota Prairie County Alliance announces Tara Reich as the agency’s new Executive Director.  During the regular MNPrairie board meeting in March the board voted unanimously to appoint Tara as the next executive director effective, March 20, 2024.

Doug Christopherson, Waseca County Commissioner and MNPrairie Board Chair shared “Tara’s extensive background in county human services as well as her involvement with regional and state work groups and associations positions her well for the role of executive director.”  Tara has served in various positions within Steele County and MNPrairie since 2006. During Tara’s tenure she has held the roles of case manager, supervisor, manager, and interim executive director.

Reich commented, “It is both a privilege and an honor to lead MNPrairie into the next chapter of its journey.  From its inception, the leaders of MNPrairie have been dedicated to laying a strong foundation anchored by integrity and employee dedication.  I am excited to build upon this work and look forward to exploring opportunities to further strengthen MNPrairie’s engagement and collaboration within our communities.”

Minnesota Prairie County Alliance (MNPrairie) is the county human services agency created through a joint powers agreement that provides the full array of public service programs for Dodge, Steele, and Waseca counties.  The agreement merged the three county’s respective human services departments into one multi-county agency – MNPrairie.
