In the coming weeks, Dodge County’s tree service contractor will be removing ash trees on the Fairview Care Center property at 702 Tenth Ave. in Dodge Center that have been infected with emerald ash borers. This work is being paid for by a ReLeaf Community Forestry Grant from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. New trees will be planted to replace those ash trees that are removed. The new trees will be chosen from species that are more resistant to pests, diseases, and climate change.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact the Environmental Services Office at 507-635-6253.
